The Liberian government has launched 13 agricultural mechanization hubs across several counties, including Bong, Nimba, and Montserrado. This initiative was facilitated by a donation of 304 agricultural machines from the Chinese government. To support the hubs, 130 Liberians are undergoing training in machinery operation and maintenance under the guidance of Chinese specialists.

Following these developments, Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang and Liberian Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung Sr. met in Shanghai to discuss broader bilateral cooperation. China reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Liberian development priorities such as infrastructure, healthcare, and agriculture. Vice President Koung highlighted the need for technical and financial cooperation in the energy sector, specifically requesting support for solar energy, hydropower, and rural electrification to address national electricity deficits.
