In late September 2026, major Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers announced significant technological advancements. XPeng rolled out its XOS 6.3.0 update, which utilizes a second-generation Vision-Language-Action model to improve spatial understanding and decision-making in autonomous driving. This update transitions from 3D spatial recognition to 4D spatio-temporal understanding and introduced the ‘Pengyou Watch’ safety feature. Concurrently, Tesla China released an audio upgrade for select models, and Li Auto announced software updates for its Livis AI glasses to expand translation capabilities.

By October 2026, Li Auto shifted focus toward the launch of the 2026 Li i6. Following a debut at the Paris Motor Show, the model was scheduled for an official launch on October 28. The vehicle features upgraded ADB matrix headlights, zero-gravity seating, and advanced display technology, including a 29-inch 6K panoramic screen. It is equipped with a 96 kWh self-developed Lianshan supercharging battery, which supports 5C ultra-fast charging. 

During range testing, a rear-wheel-drive version of the i6 reportedly achieved a real-world range of 811.4 kilometers, exceeding its CLTC rating by 4%. The vehicle utilizes both Qualcomm and self-developed Mach M100 chips for its smart cockpit and driving assistance systems. To address consumer concerns, Li Auto introduced a battery guarantee plan covering vehicle replacement in specific fire-related scenarios. National deliveries were scheduled to begin on October 29.
