Investigative journalist Chris Hansen has transitioned from his role on the NBC program ‘To Catch a Predator’ to conducting sting operations through his co-founded streaming platform, TruBlu. While the original series was marked by high-profile incidents, including the death of a Texas prosecutor during a sting operation, Hansen continues his work through modern mediums.

Currently, Hansen’s program, ‘Takedown with Chris Hansen’, involves direct collaboration with law enforcement, such as the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office and its Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force in Louisiana. This partnership has resulted in multiple arrests. This evolution occurs alongside a broader rise in online vigilante sting operations conducted by a new generation of hunters on platforms like Kick or Facebook.
