Actor Chris Pratt has reflected on his career evolution, noting that his casting as Star-Lord in the Marvel Cinematic Universe transformed his professional trajectory from a primarily comedic actor to an action star. He expressed gratitude to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and director James Gunn for recognizing his potential after previous unsuccessful auditions for roles in ‘Captain America’ and ‘Thor’, which had once led him to nearly stop pursuing projects with the studio.

In recent comments on The Playlist’s ‘Bingeworthy’ podcast, Pratt confirmed that his character, Peter Quill (Star-Lord), will return to the franchise. He stated that he is engaged in ongoing discussions with Marvel Studios leadership, including Kevin Feige and Lou D’Esposito, to fulfill the promise made during the credits of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’.

Pratt noted that ‘hard action’ has already been taken to ensure the character’s return, though he declined to specify the timing or the specific project, stating he is ‘not at liberty to say when’ the return will occur. While he has not been officially confirmed for upcoming films such as ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ or ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, he emphasized that the character ‘is not going anywhere’. Additionally, Pratt expressed a desire to contribute to the direction of the franchise over the next decade, noting he has his own ideas for the character’s future trajectory.
