The XI Christian Schlag International Organ Festival concluded at the Church of Peace in Świdnica, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The final event, titled ‘Brass Glory’, featured a performance by the Cathedral Brass of the National Brass Orchestra in Lubin, conducted by Tomasz Kaniewski, accompanied by organists Zuzanna and Maciej Bator.

The musical program included works from the Renaissance and Baroque periods through the 20th century, such as pieces by Giovanni Gabrieli, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Georg Friedrich Händel. A notable highlight was the performance of Modest Mussorgsky’s ‘The Great Gate of Kiev’.

This final concert served as a message of peace following recent tragic events in Polish schools, marking the end of a festival edition that comprised fourteen concerts.
