To mark its 50th anniversary, Circus Roncalli has launched a jubilee tour featuring a custom electric locomotive named ‘Zippo’. The locomotive, built by the Bavarian logistics firm RailBavaria, was officially christened at Cologne Central Station by Director Bernhard Paul and North-Rhine-Westphalia Economy Minister Mona Neubaur.

Moving away from truck transport to maintain a tradition of rail travel, the circus utilizes the specialized train to haul approximately 1,800 tons of cargo. This includes 80 restored historical wagons, tents, props, and accommodations for roughly 100 artists and staff. The locomotive is capable of reaching speeds of 140 km/h and operates using eco-friendly electricity. Following the ceremonies in Cologne, the jubilee tour has commenced with scheduled performances in Austria, including Vienna, Innsbruck, and Linz.
