Electoral authorities in Mexico City and Chile have introduced new initiatives to promote civic engagement and transparency. 

The Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM) launched a digital platform for Local Electoral Geography and Citizen Participation. This microsite utilizes interactive maps and sociodemographic data to help citizens navigate the capital’s 33 local electoral districts and 1,851 territorial units, supporting community participation and participatory budgeting. 

In Chile, the Los Ríos Regional Directorate of the Electoral Service (Servel) conducted civic education and training programs throughout July. These activities targeted student centers, such as the Escuela España in Valdivia, to educate students, teachers, and administrators on electoral procedures and the functions of the Servel system.
