Reports from Gaza highlight the ongoing civilian impact of military operations. In one instance, a child born prematurely following an Israeli airstrike in Beit Lahiya was reunited with her mother in Gaza after being evacuated to Egypt for medical care. The child, who was part of a group of 29 preterm infants, returned to Gaza following a UN-assisted mission during a ceasefire, though she continues to face psychological challenges.

In a separate incident in the Al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City, an Israeli airstrike on a residential building killed a mother and left her three-year-old daughter orphaned. The child was rescued from the resulting fire and taken to Al-Shifa Medical Complex for burn treatment. Israel stated it is investigating the strike, claiming it targeted a Hamas operative.

Further family separations have been reported due to the need for medical aid. Vidán Abu Matar, a mother of eight, fled to Egypt to seek treatment for her daughter, Nur, who suffered a skull fracture and brain hemorrhage following an Israeli strike near the Nuseirat refugee camp. While Abu Matar has gathered her children in Egypt, her husband remains in Gaza, living in a tent in Nuseirat with limited mobility due to injuries. The family faces significant financial hardship as Abu Matar relies on donations to support her children.
