Recent developments in the classical music scene include new recordings and live performances across Europe.

In early September, reviews highlighted new recordings such as Vasily Petrenko leading the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Mahler’s Symphony No. 3, and the Doric String Quartet releasing the third volume of their Beethoven string quartet series.

By late September, live performances featured the Mahler Academy Orchestra at the Wiener Konzerthaus performing Mahler’s Symphony No. 9 and ‘Kindertotenlieder’. Additionally, brass players from the Frankfurt Radio Symphony performed a chamber program titled ‘Blechpartie’, which included works by J.S. Bach, Kurt Schwertsik, Kerry Turner, and Enrique Crespo.
