The Clemson Tigers began their ACC conference play with a 28-20 comeback victory against the North Carolina Tar Heels. The win, which was interrupted by a lightning delay, was noted for a defensive resurgence under coordinator Tom Allen following previous inconsistencies in the season.

Following the win, attention has shifted to Clemson’s upcoming matchup against the California Golden Bears at Cal Memorial Stadium. This game represents the first time in program history that Clemson will play a conference game on the West Coast. While Clemson enters the contest as a slight betting underdog, analysts are focusing on Cal’s ranked passing offense as a primary threat.
