Following a 34-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1, Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken faced scrutiny regarding his job security, with betting markets identifying him as a potential candidate for dismissal.

By late September, following a 21-18 victory over the Carolina Panthers, Monken shifted focus to team discipline. He criticized offensive tackle Tytus Howard for repeated pre-snap mistakes, stating such errors are ‘not kosher’ and could result in ‘hurting Browns.’ Monken also drew attention for making controversial remarks regarding Pittsburgh Steelers veterans T.J. Watt and Cameron Heyward, suggesting it was ‘about time’ they retired.
