The Cleveland Cavaliers began their preparations for the upcoming season with training camp activities. During this period, head coach Kenny Atkinson noted that off-season acquisition Peyton Watson appeared ‘super active’ on both sides of the ball. Guard Tyrese Proctor also expressed readiness for his second year following summer training.

As the team moved into preseason exhibition games, Watson demonstrated defensive value through shot-blocking and transition activity, though he faced offensive challenges, shooting 8-of-22 from the field across three games.
