The second ‘Semana del Clima Rosario’ (Rosario Climate Week) has commenced in Argentina, running from October 14 to 16 at the La Fluvial Convention Center. Organized by the Municipality of Rosario through the Secretariat of Environment and Public Space in collaboration with the Nueva Generación Argentina Foundation (FNGA), the event is aligned with the Rosario 2030 Local Climate Action Plan.

The program focuses on three primary pillars: climate change adaptation, productive innovation, and the transition from global agreements to local action. The forum specifically emphasizes a ‘just transition’ alongside its focus on adaptation and innovation. Activities include public panels covering topics such as soil management, agro-food systems, the circular economy, and urban resilience against extreme heat.

The opening ceremony featured local and provincial authorities, including Chief of Staff Rogelio Biazzi and Secretary of Environment and Public Space Luciano Marelli. Officials highlighted that the city has established a robust local climate action plan through collaboration with civil society institutions, such as ICLEI, the Argentine Network of Municipalities facing Climate Change, and the Rosario Board of Trade.
