Club Olimpia has experienced various roster shifts and injury concerns during its Clausura tournament campaign. In early October, manager Pablo ‘Vitamina’ Sánchez prepared for a match against Rubio Ñu with several key returns, including goalkeeper Gastón Olveira and Richard Ortiz, while considering a tactical shift to a double-striker formation involving Hugo Sandoval.

By late October, the club faced significant injury challenges ahead of the superclásico against Cerro Porteño. Despite maintaining a 12-match unbeaten streak, the team dealt with muscular injuries to midfielder Juan Fernando Alfaro and forward Hugo Sandoval. Additionally, defensive adjustments were required due to Juan Vera’s ongoing recovery from hamstring issues, potentially necessitating the use of Bryan Bentaberry to partner Mateo Gamarra in central defense. In the attack, Gabriel Ávalos is expected to lead the line as Olimpia seeks to maintain its position at the top of the table at the Nueva Olla stadium.
