Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas of Coahuila and Eagle Pass Mayor Aaron Valdez signed a contract to initiate the design and executive project for the expansion of the Coahuila 2000 International Bridge (Puente Internacional 2) in Piedras Negras. 

The infrastructure project is intended to strengthen border connectivity, improve regional competitiveness, and drive economic development for the populations of both Coahuila and Eagle Pass.
