The College Football Playoff (CFP) selection process has entered a critical phase. Initially, the first set of rankings was scheduled for release to help determine the final field of 12 teams. At that stage, teams such as Miami, Wake Forest, SMU, Ohio State, and Indiana were noted as being in contention for playoff spots.

Following the release of the initial rankings, Notre Dame was placed at number 11. This position has created pressure on the team to win their upcoming game against Miami to secure a spot in the playoffs. Analysts have pointed to a lack of high-profile wins in Notre Dame’s resume, while the placement of Indiana at number 4 has also drawn scrutiny.
