Recent developments in Colombian sports broadcasting involve shifts in key personnel across major networks.

Javier Fernández, known as ‘Cantante del Gol’, has joined the sports team at Radio Nacional de Colombia (RTVC). His return to radio includes scheduled coverage of matches involving Atlético Nacional, Independiente Medellín, Bucaramanga, and América.

Separately, journalist Francisco Javier ‘Pacho’ Vélez is departing RCN Radio and La FM. This exit follows a widely discussed on-air confrontation with colleague Eduardo Luis López regarding Deportivo Cali and coach Rafael Dudamel, though no official causal link between the debate and the departure has been confirmed.
