Melilla has held various ceremonies to honor historical and local figures. In October, a new monument was inaugurated near the Plaza de España to pay tribute to the military units that provided relief to the city following the 1921 Disaster of Annual. The sculptural ensemble, created by Jesús García Ligero, was unveiled by local officials and military commanders.

In November, the city conducted a traditional floral offering at the Purísima Concepción cemetery. This ceremony honored distinguished local figures and victims of various past tragedies, including Civil Guard members killed by ETA, victims of a 1998 plane crash, a 1997 water tank rupture, and those lost to COVID-19. A minute of silence was also observed for victims of a railway accident in Urda, Toledo.
