In preparation for Lost Children’s Day on October 15, religious and community organizations in Poland have organized various commemorations and support services.

The Diocese of Radom announced a series of events in Radom and Skarżysko-Kamienna, including support group meetings, workshops for couples, and religious services. Bishop Marek Solarczyk is scheduled to preside over a Mass and the consecration of a Lost Children’s Monument at the Limanowskiego Street cemetery in Radom.

In Sokołów Podlaski, a funeral ceremony will be held at the Co-cathedral of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, led by Bishop Piotr Sawczuk of Drohicyn. This service involves the interment of children who passed away before birth into a collective grave. The initiative is a collaborative effort between the Drohicyn Diocese, local health and parish services, and the ‘Unitum’ Association, which raised funds for a monument through parish collections to provide free, dignified burials for stillborn children.
