The City of Rimouski has announced various community and cultural initiatives for the transition from late summer to autumn 2026.

In late August, the city detailed upcoming leisure and cultural programming for September, including workshops in manga, pottery, and theater for various age groups. A charity book sale is also scheduled at the Lisette-Morin Library to benefit the Le 95 emergency shelter.

Following these announcements, the region is preparing for the 40th Festi Jazz international de Rimouski, running from September 3 to 6. The festival, which features international artists, workshops, and artisan kiosks, is expected to attract approximately 10,000 visitors.
