Cancún has hosted various community and cultural initiatives throughout late 2026. In September, the city focused on arts and social inclusion, featuring the Shorts México International Short Film Festival, several theatrical productions, and the HimnoTón 2026 event organized by Teletón to promote awareness for people with disabilities.

By October, community activities shifted toward seasonal celebrations and health awareness. These included the “Puenteando 2026: Dulce o Truco” event for children at Puente Nichupté and the “Rodando Cancún” pink ride, an initiative organized by the Benito Juárez City Council to promote breast cancer prevention.
