Kaohsiung has hosted various community-focused events centered on fitness, urban culture, and indigenous talent. 

In August, the city held the ‘Run Kaohsiung 3.0’ event, which involved over 8,400 participants across 38 administrative districts. This was accompanied by the sixth annual Xiong Zheng Wu Dou International Street Dance Competition, featuring international judges and providing winners with spots in upcoming world finals and local competitions.

By September, the focus shifted toward indigenous cultural and athletic promotion. The Kaohsiung City Indigenous Affairs Commission organized selection trials for nearly 1,500 athletes to form a representative team for the 116th National Indigenous Games. Additionally, the second TAKAO Voice Singing Competition was held alongside a local market to support the indigenous music industry and economy.
