In late September 2026, Sfântu Gheorghe hosted the 8th Kürtőskalács Festival and the 16th Autumn Fair in Liberty Square. The event featured approximately 120 local producers and included a competition for ‘Kürtőskalács of the Year in Szeklerland,’ culinary demonstrations, musical performances, and various outdoor activities.

Following this, a market for local producers and artisans is scheduled for October 3–4 at the Sfântu Gheorghe central market. Organized by Urban Locato, the upcoming event will feature 38 vendors, including many participants from the previous Kürtőskalács Festival, offering products such as honey, meats, dairy, pastries, and wines.
