In Aden, Yemen, initiatives focused on community empowerment and leadership development have emerged among vulnerable populations. 

Initially, displaced residents in the Al-Shuruq camp began transitioning toward active community organization by forming elected committees. These groups, intended to bridge communication between displaced persons, local authorities, and humanitarian organizations, aim to improve accountability and ensure the needs of women and persons with disabilities are addressed.

This focus on leadership expanded through the ‘Ticket to Life – Yemen’ project. A five-day training program was conducted for 25 scout leaders from the Aden, Lahj, and Abyan governorates. Supported by Alwaleed Philanthropies and the Yemeni Scout and Guide Association, the project seeks to enhance the life skills and leadership capabilities of vulnerable youth.
