In June 2026 the CONALEP system in Chihuahua set a target of nearly 8,500 students for the 2026‑27 cycle, expanding campus coverage across Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Delicias, Cuauhtémoc, Santa Bárbara and Parral. A diagnostic exam was slated for 19 June, and the university‑to‑technical enrollment ratio widened to 56 : 1.

By early July the Juárez campus offered 8,500 study places for the 2024‑25 year – a 120 % increase – with about 800 CAST seats still open. Scholarships covered tuition and transport, and new bilingual AI‑focused digital textbooks were introduced. In Coahuila more than 3,200 graduates emerged from nine campuses, supported by a dual‑education model involving 669 learners and 137 corporate partners.

On 9 July CONALEP campuses in Aguascalientes and Mante, Tamaulipas, held graduation ceremonies, honoring 491 and dozens of technical‑bachiller graduates in fields such as automotive maintenance, data science, agrotechnology, autotrónica and civil protection.

Later that month CAST in Ciudad Juárez opened 800 additional summer slots (3‑28 August) for courses in physical activation, language, mathematics and socio‑emotional development, with state‑government mobility scholarships available.

On 26 July the Juárez CAST became a central hub for training and certifying federal truck‑driver operators, a program aimed at road‑safety and competitiveness. Simultaneously, the Universidad Tecnológica de Ciudad Juárez announced new specialization tracks in mechatronics and other high‑skill areas, built on dual‑education partnerships with German firms following a BMW‑style model and Taiwan’s Foxconn.

These actions extend CONALEP’s broader push to broaden technical capacity, deepen industry linkages and diversify vocational pathways across Mexico.
