The Concacaf Nations League has produced mixed results and controversies across the region. Guatemala achieved a historic qualification for the quarter-finals, leading to a rise in FIFA rankings. However, the tournament faced scrutiny after Suriname filed an official complaint regarding racist abuse directed at its players and staff during a match in Guatemala.

Consequences for other regional teams include Honduras avoiding relegation but requiring a play-off for the 2027 Gold Cup. El Salvador, having been relegated to League B, is scheduled to face Saint Martin in a two-legged play-in series in November 2026 to maintain its path toward the Gold Cup. The first leg of this series will be held in Saint Kitts and Nevis, with the return leg in San Salvador.
