Confins International Airport in Belo Horizonte has experienced recent operational disruptions due to security concerns and weather conditions.

On October 22, a Latam flight from Belo Horizonte to São Paulo was cancelled following a bomb threat. Staff discovered a note in an aircraft restroom, leading to a five hour security intervention by the Federal Police. Authorities ultimately ruled out an actual attack, but the flight was cancelled due to the time required for security protocols and subsequent scheduling constraints.

On October 31, dense fog following intense storms caused further disruptions. The weather forced the diversion of 19 aircraft and the cancellation of two flights. While airport operations normalized by the morning, the municipal Civil Defense maintained alerts for landslide risks in several regions of the city.
