During São Paulo Climate Week 2026, new initiatives were introduced to connect financial capital with landscape conservation and sustainable agriculture in Brazil.

On 4 August, Conservation International, The Nature Conservancy (TNC Brasil), and Proforest launched the Brazilian arm of the Finance for Resilient Landscapes (F4RL) program. The initiative aims to increase capital flow to productive landscapes capable of withstanding climate challenges by linking territorial organizations, value chain companies, and financial institutions. The program initially targets four priority landscapes in Brazil’s soy and livestock supply chains across the states of Pará, Mato Grosso, and Tocantins.

Following this, Conservation International Brasil, supported by the Bezos Earth Fund, hosted a workshop focused on restoration in Pará. The event addressed strategies to meet the state’s goal of restoring 7.2 million hectares by 2030. Discussions centered on utilizing deforestation data and productive chains to identify large-scale restoration opportunities. Participants emphasized the need for structured value chains, including strengthened seed collector networks, technical assistance, and expanded financing to link territorial opportunities with corporate climate commitments.
