The University of Teramo has engaged in several initiatives related to constitutional law and civic awareness. The university launched a program to provide new graduates with special editions of the Italian Constitution, provided by the Chamber of Deputies, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the election of the Constituent Assembly. Rector Christian Corsi noted the initiative aims to foster “civic awareness and social responsibility” in the face of challenges like disinformation.

Building on these efforts, the university hosted the 41st annual conference of the Italian Association of Constitutionalists (AIC) on October 23 and 24. Themed “Constitutional revision and legislative implementation,” the event marked the first time the conference was held in the Abruzzo region. The proceedings featured high-level legal figures, including AIC President Renato Balduzzi, former Minister of Justice Marta Cartabia, and Secretary General of the Senate Federico Silvio Toniato.

During the convention, Giovanni Amoroso, President of the Constitutional Court, addressed the relationship between the implementation and revision of the Charter. He emphasized that the Constitution is a “common heritage” that must be explained and passed on to new generations, noting that the Court has witnessed its ongoing application since 1956.
