In the first leg of the Copa Centroamericana semifinals, Club Sport Cartaginés defeated Honduras’ Club Olimpia 1-0 at the Fello Meza Stadium. Joaquín Alonso Hernández scored the winning goal in the 14th minute. The match included a controversial red card for Olimpia’s Yustin Arboleda following a VAR review of an elbowing incident.

Heading into the second leg in Tegucigalpa, Cartaginés faces significant roster challenges. The team will be without three key players—José Luis Quirós, Claudio Montero, and José de Jesús González—due to yellow card accumulation. Olimpia enters the return match seeking to overturn the one-goal deficit.
