Sources: 9. Developments: 2. Recent developments at the Brazilian football club Corinthians involve both former players and potential administrative restructuring. Former midfielder Guilherme Biro, currently playing in the United Arab Emirates, reflected on his development at the club under coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo and addressed ongoing concerns regarding delayed salary payments for players. Regarding organizational changes, Vanderlei Luxemburgo has addressed speculation concerning a potential return to the club. In a social media video, Luxemburgo clarified that he has received no contact from the Corinthians board to serve as either a head coach or a technical coordinator. Despite the lack of official contact, Luxemburgo expressed a willingness to manage the team for the final matches of the Campeonato Brasileiro out of gratitude for the club’s past support. However, he established specific conditions for any long-term involvement, stating an interest in a ‘head coach’ role that would grant him broader responsibility over the football department and direct communication with the board, rather than reporting to an executive director. This follows the departure of Marcelo Paz and previous reports regarding a potential technical coordinator role intended to improve communication between the squad and the board. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-27: Vanderlei Luxemburgo denies Corinthians contact, expresses willingness to return Vanderlei Luxemburgo denied receiving any offers from Corinthians to serve as coach or coordinator, though he expressed a willingness to help the club in the short term out of gratitude. 9 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/corinthians-evaluates-vanderlei-luxemburgo-for-technical-coordinator-role ### 2026-10-01: Guilherme Biro reflects on Corinthians tenure and salary delays Former Corinthians player Guilherme Biro discussed his development under coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo and addressed the issue of delayed salary payments at the Brazilian club. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/guilherme-biro-reflects-on-corinthians-tenure-and-salary-delays --- Cite as: Corinthians club management and personnel developments.
