The Cornish Pirates have maintained momentum through their pre-season and early competitive league campaign.

Following pre-season victories against Camborne and a 35-21 comeback win over Plymouth Albion, the Pirates entered their league season with a 45-19 win over the Doncaster Knights at Mennaye Field. That opening match was highlighted by replacement hooker Matt Pritchard, who scored four tries.

As the Elior Championship campaign progressed, the Pirates secured a bonus point victory against Chinnor at Mennaye Field. Despite trailing 24-22 during the match, a late second-half surge featuring four tries secured the win. Key contributors in that match included Henry Palmer and Alessandro Heaney, who each scored two tries, alongside scores from Hugh Bokenham, Will Becconsall, and Charlie Poynton.

Earlier in the season, the squad faced selection challenges due to injuries to Chester Ribbons and Steele Barker, leading to the involvement of Joe Elderkin and Tomi Agbongbon. The Pirates also participated in a high-profile pre-season friendly against Saracens, which featured guest players Josh Matavesi and Jon Drew on the bench.
