Cornish rugby clubs Launceston and St Austell are preparing for their upcoming Regional One South West campaigns.

Launceston is entering the season under new head coach Steve Perry, who intends to deliver ‘exciting and entertaining rugby’. The club has undergone significant changes following a ninth-place finish last season, including the departure of long-serving player and coach Ryan Westren. Perry will be supported by new forwards coach Will James.

St Austell head coach Sam Parsons has expressed confidence in his squad despite the loss of players such as Matt Shepherd and Ben Saunders to transfers or overseas commitments. To bolster the roster, the club has recruited international talent, including Australian hooker Connor Wild and Sam Stokes, as well as South African back Neldus Kruger.
