Legal and administrative corruption issues have emerged in Xai-Xai, Gaza Province. In early September, the Gaza Provincial Judicial Court ordered four individuals, including the former administrator of Xai-Xai, Argilência Chissano, to stand trial for the alleged misappropriation of donations intended for flood victims. The official has reportedly fled and remains at large, while the municipal legal office has received at least eight formal complaints.
