Counter-terrorism training activities have been conducted by security forces in India. 

In early August 2026, India's National Security Guard (NSG) and United States Special Operations Forces (US SOF) completed the eighth edition of the bilateral counter-terrorism exercise, Tarkash VIII, in Pune, Maharashtra. The drill was aimed at enhancing operational readiness and interoperability between the two nations.

Following this international exercise, security agencies in Delhi conducted the Sudarshan Shakti-V counter-terrorism drill.
