Authorities in Hadramaut have referred nine suspects to the Public Prosecution following the seizure of 165,000 counterfeit Saudi Riyal notes. The suspects were apprehended during coordinated operations at various locations, including the Al-Wahd checkpoint, Al-Ruwayk, and Seiyun.

Investigations indicate the group used the forged 500-Riyal notes to purchase illicit goods such as weapons, khat, hashish, and crystal meth. The group reportedly obtained the counterfeit currency in Marib province and transported it to other areas to exchange it for genuine currency.
