An investigation in Bydgoszcz, Poland, has revealed that an accountant, identified as Marzena S., allegedly stole over 477,000 PLN from the District Court’s social benefits fund. 

The embezzlement reportedly occurred in two phases: more than 400,000 PLN was taken between March 2012 and December 2019, and an additional 77,000 PLN was taken between September 2022 and January 2023. The suspect allegedly transferred funds to her own private accounts or those of her children to cover personal expenses. Marzena S. has reportedly admitted to the crime and faces two charges regarding the theft of property of significant value.
