Criminal activity in San Juan del Río, Querétaro, has led to police interventions and increased public concern regarding safety.

In late September, municipal police detained a man suspected of trespassing at a residence in the Centro neighborhood. Authorities noted the individual might be linked to “various other robberies in the area” captured on surveillance footage. The suspect was placed at the disposal of the Fiscalía General del Estado de Querétaro.

By mid-October, residents in the Valle Real Residencial area demanded heightened security following a series of violent incidents. These included a knife attack on a resident near the San Pedro Ahuacatlán-La Estancia highway and the theft of a compact vehicle. Local authorities had not yet confirmed arrests related to these specific attacks.
