In the Yüreğir district, a 28-year-old man with 13 prior criminal records was arrested for stealing cosmetics from a pharmacy. Despite his claims that the items were paid for, security footage led to his arrest. In the Seyhan district, police apprehended a suspect who stole approximately 115 kilograms of silver, bullion, and prayer beads from a jewelry shop. The suspect, identified as Mehmet Ali L., is a jewelry designer who had reportedly gone bankrupt. He targeted the shop of a former business partner, İshak Ş., in the Kuruköprü neighborhood. According to police reports, the suspect hid inside the business center before closing hours and used an oxygen cylinder to cut through the shop’s steel doors. Over approximately seven hours, he gathered the silver and packed it into suitcases and sacks. To evade capture, he wore a helmet and socks with fake tattoo patterns, removed his motorcycle’s license plate, and used spray paint to change his vehicle’s color. He also temporarily hid some stolen goods in bushes after his motorcycle tire deflated. Law enforcement officers tracked the suspect by reviewing approximately 980 security camera recordings over a 10-kilometer route. Following a raid on his residence in the Yüreğir district, police recovered about 55 kilograms of the stolen silver. The suspect has been taken into custody. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-30: Adana jewelry thief arrested after stealing 115kg of silver A jewelry craftsman was arrested in Adana, Turkey, after allegedly stealing 115kg of silver using an oxygen cylinder to cut through doors. 16 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/adana-police-arrest-suspect-in-115-kg-silver-robbery ### 2026-10-15: Adana pharmacy theft leads to arrest of suspect with 13 criminal records A man with 13 prior criminal records was arrested in Adana, Turkey, after stealing 4,000 TL worth of cosmetics from a duty pharmacy. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/adana-pharmacy-theft-leads-to-arrest-of-suspect-with-13-criminal-records --- Cite as: Crime incidents in Adana, Turkey.
