Police in India are conducting multiple investigations into various violent deaths and missing persons cases across several regions.

In late September, investigations were launched following a double murder in Hathras, where a retired Army veteran and his wife were allegedly killed with sharp-edged weapons. Simultaneously, in Jaipur, authorities sought a suspect after a woman was found buried in a garden by her live-in partner.

By early October, new cases emerged involving the discovery of women's bodies. In Agra, a revenue clerk was arrested after the body of a missing woman was recovered from the Yamuna River; the suspect allegedly disposed of the body following a dispute. In Hyderabad, investigators are performing forensic analysis on the remains of a woman found in a desolate area of Nagole to determine if her dismemberment was a criminal act or the result of animal scavenging.
