Authorities in Jharkhand have resolved two separate murder investigations involving domestic and conspiracy-related motives.

In Ranchi, police arrested Sukra Lohra for the May murder of his wife, Savita Sanga. Lohra, a soldier with the Tripura Rifles, allegedly killed Sanga following a dispute in Chhattisgarh and disposed of her body in a river. The crime was discovered four months later after Sanga’s sister reported her missing.

In the Hazaribagh district, a Special Investigation Team arrested Sonali Kumari and her lover, Kaushik Kumar Nauniya, for the murder of Kumari’s husband, Manglesh Pal. Investigators determined the killing was a conspiracy to allow Kumari to obtain a government job on compassionate grounds. The suspects had allegedly attempted to stage the crime scene to resemble a robbery.
