In the Greater Florianópolis region of Santa Catarina, a man has been sentenced to 15 years and nine months in prison, in addition to two months of detention, for the sexual abuse of his 7-year-old daughter. 

The investigation was initiated after the child reported the abuse to school professionals. The court determined that the incidents took place within the family residence between 2023 and 2024. The defendant was also convicted of threatening his former partner following the allegations. The victim's two daughters are currently in institutional care, and the man remains in custody.
