Developments: 2. The Croatian camping sector has demonstrated significant growth and infrastructure expansion. Eurocamp has introduced diverse accommodation options across various Croatian sites, including specialized electric vehicle charging points at locations such as Camping Lanterna, Zaton Holiday Resort, and Amadria Park Camping Šibenik to support hybrid and electric travelers. Further recognition of the sector arrived when research by PiNCAMP identified Croatia as Europe’s highest quality camping destination. During the 20th Croatian Camping Congress, Veljko Ostojić of the Croatian Tourism Association reported that between January 1 and October 11, 2026, the industry recorded nearly 3.4 million arrivals and 21.4 million overnight stays. While Germany, Slovenia, and Austria remain the primary markets, domestic overnight stays increased by 9.7 percent compared to the previous year. To sustain this momentum, industry leaders have called for a stable legislative framework regarding spatial planning and maritime domain boundaries to facilitate continued investment in high-occupancy four- and five-star campsites. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-20: Croatia named Europe's highest quality camping destination Croatia has been ranked as Europe's highest quality camping destination by PiNCAMP/ADAC, driven by significant investments and strong performance from high-end campsites. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/croatia-named-europes-highest-quality-camping-destination ### 2026-10-03: Eurocamp offers diverse accommodations and EV charging in Croatia Eurocamp provides diverse holiday accommodations across Europe, including several sites in Croatia equipped with electric vehicle charging points. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/eurocamp-offers-diverse-holiday-accommodation-options-across-europe --- Cite as: Croatia camping industry development.
