Media coverage in Croatia and the surrounding region has focused on the personal lives and relationships of various public figures. Initial reports highlighted a trend among celebrities, such as actress Petra Dugandžić, singer Maja Šuput, and former model Tatjana Dragović, regarding relationships with younger partners. Specifically, Maja Šuput’s relationship with Emil Tedeschi Jr. has drawn significant media interest due to their age gap.

Subsequent coverage shifted to discussions of long-term and former relationships. Simona Mijoković described maintaining an “exceptionally friendly relationship” with her former husband, Ante Gotovac, following their divorce. Additionally, Minister of the Interior Davor Božinović spoke about his marriage to his wife, Jasna, noting their long-term partnership since 1988. Božinović later shared further details regarding his marriage, noting that he and Jasna met as teenagers in Tivat and that she has been a vital source of support throughout his political career.

Recent reports have continued to highlight celebrity unions involving significant age differences. Actor Vahidin Prelić married Bojana Radić, who is 23 years his junior. The couple shared wedding highlights on social media, including their first dance to the song ‘Moja posljednja i prva ljubavi’ and a performance by Ema Đurić. The relationship had previously attracted public attention, with Prelić noting he is one year older than Radić’s father and three years older than her mother. Radić has spoken openly about facing opposition from her family due to both the age gap and religious differences.
