Volunteer firefighting societies in Croatia continue to mark significant historical milestones through various anniversary celebrations.

In addition to the 150-year milestone reached by DVD Fužine, DVD Suhopolje recently celebrated its 150th anniversary, marking its history since its founding in 1876. The event featured a monograph presentation, an exhibition, and the awarding of medals to long-serving members.

Centenary celebrations were also held by DVD Šemovci and DVD Veliškovci. Founded in 1926, DVD Šemovci has grown from 13 original members to approximately 60, including many youths. Its ceremonial session was attended by local officials, such as Koprivnica-Križevci County Prefect Tomislav Golubić. DVD Veliškovci’s centenary included a minute of silence for fallen firefighters and recognition of its successful youth division.

Furthermore, DVD Golo Brdo marked 50 years of service since its founding in 1976. The commemoration included a holy mass, a parade, and a skills demonstration by its youngest members. The society also recognized long-term members with awards for service ranging from 10 to 50 years, and named Zdravko Sadilek an honorary member.
