Raúl ‘Potro’ Gutiérrez, the head coach of Cruz Azul Femenil, faced potential dismissal after attending the 110th-anniversary celebrations of rival club Club América. Gutiérrez caused controversy by wearing América colors at the event, an action that reportedly drew displeasure from Cruz Azul management, specifically director Fernanda Pons.

Gutiérrez issued an apology, describing the incident as an ‘own goal’ and citing his history as a former América player. Following reports that he was absent from training sessions, the club officially announced his departure.
