Industry leaders and analysts continue to forecast increased maturity and growth within the cryptocurrency market, driven by institutional investment and the introduction of Bitcoin ETFs. 

Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant, maintains a forecast of a 3 to 5 times price increase during the current cycle. He notes this is a significant reduction from the “10x+ parabolic rallies” of previous cycles, attributing the shift to market maturation and institutional influence. Ju suggests that while a larger market capitalization may limit explosive upside, it could also dampen volatility, potentially leading to milder bear markets compared to historical 80% crashes.

By late 2026, Ju signaled that the Bitcoin bear market concluded during the summer, marking the start of a new bullish cycle. He indicated the market is in its early stages, supported by on-chain metrics such as a significant influx of fresh capital into accumulation addresses and decreased selling pressure from long-term holders, or “OG whales.” 

Furthermore, Ju observed that large futures traders have rebuilt long positions near market bottoms. He noted that the MVRV (Market Value to Realized Value) ratio has remained significantly lower than the peaks of 4 to 5 seen in previous years, suggesting that market euphoria and capitulation are becoming more moderate as the buyer profile shifts from retail speculators toward institutional players, ETFs, and custodians.
