Côte d’Ivoire is pursuing several strategic initiatives to drive economic growth and industrialization. As part of the “Sublime Côte d'Ivoire” tourism strategy, the government aims to attract five million international visitors annually by 2030, supported by a tripartite memorandum of understanding with Emirates Airlines to enhance air connectivity.

To achieve its National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 goals, which target an annual growth rate of 7.2%, the country is relying heavily on private investment to cover over 70% of the required 114,838.5 billion CFA francs. The World Bank has committed to supporting these priorities through a $6.3 billion portfolio for the 2025-2026 period, focusing on health, energy, and youth programs.

Sectoral development is being advanced through several major events. The government and the National Federation of Shea of Côte d'Ivoire (FENKACI) are organizing the first National Shea Salon (SNKA) in Abidjan for October 13-14, 2026, to structure the shea industry and empower local women. In the technology sector, the second Ivoire Tech Forum is scheduled for November 2026 to connect startups with investors via artificial intelligence and green energy.

Further industrial and agricultural efforts include the ATLM Expo in October 2026, featuring trade fairs for the agri-food, hospitality, and packaging sectors with over 180 international exhibitors. Additionally, the 7th Abidjan International Agriculture and Animal Resources Trade Fair (SARA) is set for May 23 to June 1, 2025, with the Agricultural Research Fund for Côte d’Ivoire (FIRCA) sponsoring initiatives focused on food sovereignty and agro-food transformation.
