Cultural events in Portugal have expanded from visual arts exhibitions to include diverse musical performances.

In Leiria, the Villa Portela Arts Center hosted the ‘Contadores de histórias’ (Storytellers) exhibition, featuring works from the Serralves Collection by artists such as Paula Rego, Jorge Queiroz, and Sue Williams. The exhibition, a collaboration between the Serralves Foundation and the Municipality of Leiria, focused on surrealist visual constructions and narrative universes.

Subsequent cultural programming included musical events at the Serralves Museum and in Guimarães. At the Serralves Museum, Pedro Melo Alves presented ‘ΞllllllΞ’, a transdisciplinary project combining techno-performance, digital arts, and electronic music. Meanwhile, the ‘Música à Sombra’ cycle commenced at the Museu Alberto Sampaio in Guimarães, featuring the artist Mafalda performing in the museum's cloister.
