Assisi has hosted various cultural and botanical initiatives. In late September 2026, the municipality held an awards ceremony for the ‘Balconi fioriti e Infiorate’ competition, which recognized decorated balconies and floral carpets designed to enhance the urban landscape. Concurrently, the Parco del Lavandeto di Assisi held the ‘Festa delle Salvie e dell’Autunno’, featuring plant markets and various workshops.

In late October 2026, the focus shifted to the third edition of the ‘Assisi Teatro Sacro’ festival. Themed around the portrayal of Saint Francis through theater, music, and new media, the festival included musical performances and academic conferences to mark the 800th anniversary of his death.
